This is the 4th book of the Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy. This can be read as a standalone, but I HIGHLY suggest reading the other three books! Only because Elle knows how to hit all the feels and they are excellent, enjoyable reads! Besides #HotHockeyPlayers! This book is specifically about Sabrina and Tucker's story; spoken from dual narrative.
"The game just got a whole lot more complicated..."
Sabrina James had goals and they do not include the quiet Texas handsome auburn haired hot Briar hockey player rocking an amazing beard! #beardgoals #bucketlist #HotTexasHockeyPlayer
Oh YES! Oh John Tucker you have won my heart! #Darlin Every time that simple little term of endearment was said...oh the swoons, be still my fluttering heart.
He's sweet and earnest and clearly has money, whereas I'm bitchy and stressed and live in the gutter.
In the previous books I thought I knew Sabrina. Boy was I gladly wrong! From all of the Off-Campus series this is the first time that I fell in love with the female character. Sabrina James has her whole future planed out. She knows what she wants and knows how she is going to get there. Her home life hasn't been pleasant and it has made her driven, hardworking. She doesn't need anyone to help her, she'd determined and ambitious. I loved how hard-working and dedicated she was. I admired that she worked her way to the top with nothing but hard-work and perseverance. Sabrina doesn’t do dating, but she does do athletes from time to time.
Tucker is a team player, but doesn't seek the spotlight like his mates. Tucker has goals of owning his own business. Tucker is that sweet as southern sweet tea but strong - confident man. He is the fun-loving, caring, loves his momma, kind of guy. He is adorable, everyone loves him. When he first lays eyes on Sabrina he knows there's something special there. From there all it takes is one night and everything changes.
Oh sweet baby Jesus. Sex with Tucker is dirtier and hotter than I thought it would be. He doesn't look like he'd be this way, but isn't it always the quiet ones?
Tucker is a very patient man and thankfully so, because it is exactly what Sabrina needs. Tucker seems to have a knack for knowing what Sabrina always needs.
This book is not as light-hearted as the past books. This deals with real-life heavy decisions and the way the author decided to maneuver about it is highly appreciated. The rest of the characters from the previous books aren't heavily relied on in this story. They are around but we introduced to some new characters I hope to see more from them. There's a rumor there might be a spin-off from this series and new Briar hockey players moving into the house!
Overall I loved this book! I relate to Sabrina on a very deep level. Tucker has surpassed Graham, Logan, and Dean! I give this book 5 stars!
